Library World Online Catalog

The LRC’s online Library World catalog is a database comprised of your campus collection resources. These resources are here to enhance what you are learning in the classroom or for what you want to use in your free time.  These resources include print books, audiobooks, DVDs, professional periodicals, software, magazines, flash cards and other types of study materials.  Resources can be taken off campus ONLY when checked-out by an actively enrolled student.

The online catalog includes resources not only housed in Orlando, but within other STC campus locations in the Central Florida region.  Therefore, when browsing the catalog, remember to check at which campus the resource is located.  If you are interested in borrowing a resource from the Auburndale campus library, fill out the Interlibrary Loan Request form or contact your campus librarian.

For access into the Library World catalog, click open the catalog link and type in Southern Technical College Main in the Library Name block.  Leave the password block empty and click the Sign In tab.

Self-Service Check-Out Procedures

Borrowing a resource from the LRC is an easy process. The only requirement is that you must be an actively enrolled student.  You can check-out resources by using the online form attached here:

Resource Checkout (Orlando campus only)

OR by signing out the resource in the check-out log located on the Librarians desk (as pictured below).Check-out Log AUB

Using the  ⇒ ⇒ ⇒ ⇒ ⇒ ⇒

“Print Check-out Log”

When the librarian is not on campus

Simply fill in the date, print your name, mark the degree program that you are working towards, your signature goes in the next block, then write down the title of the resource, and lastly in the next block; write down the inventory number [8 digits] of the resource.  The inventory number is located on the outside area of the resource under the STC barcode label and on the opening page behind the front cover.  The barcodes look like this:

For journals, magazines or other periodicals, write down the publication date instead of an inventory number.  The publication date is normally located on the front cover or spine of the publication.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated and it will make our campus a successful & vibrant place of learning & growth for everyone.  If you need assistance and the Librarian is unavailable, please ask the front desk receptionist, a teaching assistant or an instructor for assistance. Do not leave the library with a resource without signing the resource out in the check-out log which is located on the Librarian’s desk.

Interlibrary Loan Requests

You can request to borrow a resource from the Auburndale campus by clicking open the link below and submitting the online form.  When you click submit, it will automatically email it your campus Librarian.
